Val Patrick Golf
Instruction

I have taken one lesson from Val Patrick and have received several informal tips from her on the practice range. I have found her to be a very friendly, patient teacher with an insightful eye regarding the golf swing. She has helped me tremendously and I would not hesitate to take another lesson from her or to recommend her to my friends. My niece, a 16 year old beginner, has taken a series of lessons from her and has spoken glowingly about Val's positive, encouraging attitude. Tom Cullen, 6 handicap

"Golf is a mental sport.  One that rewards the confident individual and punishes the rest of us.  Visualization of each shot prior to addressing the ball and confidence in my shot execution are two fundamentals that I have worked closely with Val Patrick this season.  After a 15+ year lapse from playing golf to further my career and raise a family, I was finally coaxed back into the sport by my sister.  Her most cherished and sound advice was to, “take lessons right away”, and “just have a good time”.   In a matter of weeks, I was signed up for a weekly league and lessons.  My personal success is attributed to hooking up with a compatible instructor and being able to make modifications in the technical aspects of my game, so that I was able to focus on the mental stuff.  Val is a tremendous student advocate and works through the fundamentals addressing issues using a building block approach.  Her ability to address my equipment needs taking into account my capabilities, including addressing the much ignored ball was an added bonus.  In one season working with Val, my first season back to golf, my established handicap went from 36.9 to 18.7, I shattered my personal season goal of breaking 100, to shooting consistently in the 90s,  and yes, even breaking that elusive 90 barrier.  Overall this has been the most enriching season and I am fortunate to have found a great instructor, Val Patrick to guide me along the way." ~ Helen Landicho Handicap 18.7, November 3, 2008.
